Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1996 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, it received a raving review from both music bloggers as well as from the press. The artist has already recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by the group Oasis to promote a Christmas ad by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway from her side, also gave the song a boost of recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in her attic then becoming enthralled by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not for an income or as a pastime, but as an opportunity to grow. Thus, she began writing her own songs. Alongside Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Responding to her mother's advice that her children ought not to aim at achieving fame through her songwriting, but instead be aware of the significance of them and the impact they have on society. She started playing piano at age six and creating music when she was nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora's accomplishments were never her goal.
